Dictatorship
What is Dictatorship?
Dictatorship is a political system where one person has absolute control over a place. The dictator will have all the power and they can do whatever they want, including setting laws...etc. In order to stay in power, the dictator will keep strict control in various ways. Often a dictator will ban all the political party, so that no one will go against him. Dictator will try to control the people's mind and what they think and their opinion, so he/she will take control of the media, so that the citizens can only know that the dictator what's them to know. Everything, including books, art works, news, that go against the dictator or the government policies will be banned. Extreme dictatorship will use it's power to change the place/city to the way he/she want's it to be. To achieve the dictator's goal, it's possible that he/she take actions without any consideration for the people. (Kagan, n.d.)
Dictatorship in RussiaCzar Nicholas II is the dictator in Russia before the Russian revolution. He had absolute power along will a strong military, so that he can carry out his orders. He controls Russia but doesn't do much for the citizens, which is way Karl Marx called for a revolution, and forced Czar Nicholas II to abdicate

Comparison
The dictatorship that occurred in Russia before the Russian revolution and Animal Farm are similar, because the two places are both ruled by a dictator and the dictator treated it's people/animal cruelly. Czar Nicholas II controlled the country and didn't think about the people, he only stayed in his palace and knows nothing about the poverty happening outside the palace. While Mr. Jones did similar, he knew about how badly he's treating the animals, but didn't do anything about it, which is equally as bad as Czar Nicholas II. They both used force to stay in power, and to force the people/animal under they to continue to listen to him and work for him.
Effectiveness
By comparing the two dictatorship which happened in Animal Farm and Russia, George Orwell criticized how dictatorship will never be successful and will only result in the people of the country suffering. He also said that dictatorship will always end and that it should never happen again.
